About Us

The Dogwood Trading Cooperative is a veteran owned and managed company. We were founded in 2019 by a group of family and friends who enjoy the many benefits of using products sourced, derived, and made from nature’s bounty. We have enjoyed using a variety of products, including essential oils, natural soaps, linens, clothing, and housewares in our homes over the years.

As we incorporated more of these products into our daily lives, we started to notice the gaps in market availability, specifically regarding quality versus pricing. It isn’t difficult to find a lot of these products at a price point that is comfortable. What is difficult is finding high quality at that price point. We are on a mission to change that. How? Community.

We grew up in a time and place where businesses were more than just a wallet to their owners, aiming for the IPO or beholden to the shareholders. Businesses and business owners were an active and positive force in their communities. They not only provided goods and services, but they also provided employment, contributed to community services such as youth sports, shelters and service centers, and school programs and projects. When it came to customer interaction, they focused on building relationships and providing real value for value.

In other words, business owners understood that a strong economy began with the local economy and the local economy was much, much more than earnings, it was how those earnings were paid, spent, and contributed back into the community.
